TurboMed Xtern is an Ankle Foot Orthosis (AFO) which will allow you to walk, hike and even run as long as you wish without any discomfort.
It has been tested in a variety of conditions such as marathons, triathlons, endurance activities and wilderness adventures.
The unique splint construction acts as an exoskeleton of the injured limb. It maintains the foot at a 90° angle and gives the user an unparalleled level of function without discomfort and rubbing.
Features:
- controls the falling foot,
- lifts the foot up,
- maintains the maximum possible range of motion,
- maintains muscle strength.
Indications: falling foot and foot dorsiflexion, peroneal nerve injury, peripheral neuropathy (Charcot Marie Tooth - CMT), stroke, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, Guillain-Barré syndrome, motor neuropathy, motor neurone disease.
Contraindications: inappropriate footwear, severe permanent deformity of the foot or ankle, spasticity, weakened quadriceps (quadriceps), severe proximal damage.

The application mode is quick and easy. Designed by attaching it to the outside of the shoe without touching the foot or ankle. It maintains maximum comfort and prevents any injuries that could occur from rubbing against the skin.
